Students will develop skills in film production and post-production, digital effects, script planning and writing, storytelling, storyboarding, film and video lighting, sound recording and editing, and branding and marketing for screen productions.

A graduate of this specialisation would be expected to develop practical skills across the full film and video production process. This includes generating and developing screen ideas, script planning and writing, storytelling and storyboarding, production planning, camera operation, cinematography, lighting and sound recording. Students would also develop the ability to work collaboratively within a production team, manage production resources and files, meet deadlines, and apply safe and professional industry practices.
Students would also develop post-production and promotional skills, including video and sound editing, digital effects, compositing, colour correction and preparing completed screen projects for presentation. They would gain an understanding of branding, audience, and marketing for screen productions, and be able to take a project from initial concept through planning, production, and post-production to a completed screen outcome.
