Defence Industry Internship and Graduate Scholarship Program (DIIGS)

Delivered through a collaboration between Programmed Training Services and defence industry employers, DIIGS is designed to ensure a pipeline of skilled professional and para-professional workers in WA's defence industry.

Applications open all year round.

Maintenance Support Technician (MST) - Construction Pathway Program

Delivered in partnership with BHP, the MST Construction Pathway Program at Rockingham campus provides Indigenous and/or female participants with the required skills to gain employment in Western Australia’s resources industry.

Newmont Indigenous VET Scholarships

Newmont Boddington Gold (NBG) is offering $500 scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in South Metropolitan TAFE courses to cover their study costs.

Process Plant Operations - SkillLaunch Program

Delivered in partnership with Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilisers (WesCEF), this program provides entry-level participants with the required skills to gain employment in Western Australia’s chemical, hydrocarbons, or refining sector.

Women in Defence Industry

Delivered in partnership with industry, the Women in Defence Industry Scholarship provides 6 months of free technical engineering and electronics training to prepare you for employment in WA’s booming defence industry. 

Applications open 1 February 2025.

Delivered in partnership with Chevron, the Women in Engineering Scholarship provides 20 weeks of valuable foundation skills for gaining employment in Western Australia's oil and gas, and resources industry.
