Welcome Days
Starting as a new student or at a new campus can feel intimidating, so please register to attend a Welcome Day session before classes start to get some hands-on help.
Welcome Days are taking place on the following dates, with multiple session times available at each campus.
Register for a date and time that suits you. You will find the link to register in your enrolment confirmation email.

What can you do at Welcome Day?
- Attend a presentation
- Activate your SM TAFE (Microsoft 365) student account
- Access the Student Hub and online learning system
- Obtain your TAFE Student ID card and parking permit, if necessary
- Apply for a Transperth SmartRider, if necessary. Cards are $10.00.
- Join a campus tour
- Speak with SM TAFE Student Support Services

Student Hub
If you can't attend a Welcome Day, the Student Hub is your one-stop shop for everything you need to support your study journey. First, you'll need to set up your SM TAFE (Microsoft 365) Student Account. You'll be able to access your Online Student Orientation, email and timetable, as well as find information about the library, student support services, your enrolment details (via the Student Portal), and more, from one central place.

Course Orientation
Some training areas hold an orientation session. You can find the dates and times for your course on the Course Orientation page.
If your course is not listed on the page, please check your timetable as your first day of class will be your orientation session.
