Overview
How On Campus
Embark on a journey to become an integral part of a diverse engineering team, where you'll learn the intricacies of designing, planning, managing, and executing electrical engineering projects. Through hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and software, you'll gain the expertise needed to excel in this dynamic field.
Delve into the world of mechatronics-based projects, mastering the use of automation tools such as logic controllers, pneumatic systems, sensors, actuators, and automation software. With a focus on practical application, you'll develop the skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment, where innovation and collaboration are key.
- develop design briefs for electrotechnology projects incorporating all client requirements and system design specification in accordance with Australian standards
- understand and use automation tools such as limit switches, level switches, reflective sensors, I/O devices (e.g. logic controllers), pneumatic and electrical actuators in the execution of electrotechnology projects
- apply industry and community standards while carrying out engineering activities
- produce detailed drawings of electrical control circuitry and layout
- analyse risk in line with Australian safety standards and develop a comprehensive risk management plan for any given electrotechnology project
- project manage the complete lifecycle of the design process from conception and initiation, to planning, execution, performance/monitoring and project close
