How On Campus

Pet grooming is an important part of ensuring the overall welfare, health, hygiene and happiness of domestic animals. This course is designed to give pet grooming professionals specialised training in all aspects of skincare, first aid, and infection control.

Students must have a genuine empathy for animals along with the communication skills and physical ability to successfully perform work placement in the pet grooming industry.

Study in specialist facilities

Our Murdoch campus has a dedicated Pet Grooming Clinic open to the general public which provides a simulated workplace environment. Students can gain hands-on experience in a real-life setting serving clients, taking care of animals and advancing their skills in pet grooming.

  • provide basic animal first aid
  • understand and comply with infection control policies and procedures in animal care work
  • perform grooms on cross-breed dogs
  • enhance companion animal coat and skin condition

In order to make an informed choice about the suitability of this course, you must take into account the essential skills and knowledge required to undertake this training.
