Physical Demands
- Capability to lift and move heavy equipment following WHS practices.
- Capability for frequent standing and bending with good flexibility and mobility
- Normal colour vision
- Work in varied environments, including laboratory, office and field work in all weathers.
- Good hand eye coordination and precision in working with equipment.
- Exposure to latex possible.
- Exposure to chemicals that could affect pregnancies possible.
Communication skills
- Able to clearly read, understand and communicate both in writing and verbally with lecturers, students and others
- Capable of applying numeracy skills to accurately measure, calculate, and interpret data for work tasks
- Use software specific for laboratory applications
- Computer skills to utilise online learning platform
- Able to work well with others and presenting to others
Behavioural
- High level of interest in science and chemistry
- Take responsibility for your own learning, workload and assignments.
- Respect personal and professional boundaries, including on social media
- Interact fairly and respectfully with others of all genders and different backgrounds, religions and cultures
- Ability to strictly follow workplace safety standards. Ensure PPE use and safety protocols are followed at all times.
