Pick your path to a specialisation
There isn't just one way to reach your goal of qualifying with a Diploma of Engineering - Technical or Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical) - SM TAFE delivers skill sets in tandem with the diploma and advanced diploma qualifications each semester, so that workers seeking to specialise in mechanical or electrical engineering can reach their study goals flexibly.
We use a blend of Recognition of Prior Learning for units workers in industry are likely to have already covered in their workday, with skill sets or diploma class study at a pace to suit your study goals.
You can choose to study one or all the skill sets from the diploma, but we recommend you enrol in the Diploma if you plan to study all the skill sets and wish to apply for a VET Student Loan(opens in a new tab) . You will need to study the diploma units before you can advance to advanced diploma units.
