This course provides the job-ready skills to be fully qualified to work in the early childhood education and care sector, or in supervisory roles such as child care centre manager and room leader.
The SM TAFE expert team of lecturers are professionals in the field, teaching how to lead a team in education and care services.
This course is fee free* for residents of Western Australia. Some eligibility conditions apply for the fee free training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs for more information.

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care covers educators in children's services (early childhood) who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements. At this level educators have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers. In most states it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level for children's service centre based care and education.
