Acquire skills to coordinate and maintain a WHS system, investigate incidents, manage risks, enhance employee health, and improve legislative compliance, productivity, efficiency, and morale across your workplace.

This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Some eligibility conditions apply for the low fee training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs for more information.

In order to make an informed choice about the suitability of this course, you must take into account the essential skills and knowledge required to undertake this study.
It is highly recommended that you have:
- knowledge and experience of current WHS legislation and its practical application in the workplace
- the ability to read, write and interpret a range of documentation
- a strong level of computer literacy skills – including the ability to use search engines, library databases and skills to compile electronic documents using software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel),
- good teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
- the ability to conduct research, analyse your findings, and present information in assignment-style assessments
- good written and oral communication skills
- good attention to detail
- access to other co-workers, or those who can participate and support you in oral communication roleplays, as this is a part of the unit of competency requirements
